Ok, this doll is awesome. Like, more awesome than your mom on crack.

It's also the only recent doll I've made (all other are some 4-2 years old, I think) - Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th series. Because I fucking love horror movies and I fucking love Jason.

Compared to the other dolls, this one has such an incredible ammount of work put into it.

If you're a perv who dreams about undressing Jason ( Oo That sounds incredibly wrong, nevermind...) all clothes are removable. I chose not to strip him of more than the jacket for these pics, though. His body isn't that pretty. The jeans are removable, though certainly not recommended to be removed. The mask is also removable (as you can see) however, I will not post a pic of his face, because much as it is in the movies, the dolls face is fucking deformed. I set out NOT to make him deformed, but he turned out a freak anyway, so I'm keeping his face masked for you. (it's probably just me thinking he looks THAT bad, but still - the doll, I mean, the actual Jason DOES look that bad)

The mask is papier maché (you didn't see that coming, did you?) painted with common hobby paint. It's slightly uneven in shape, but in all, it's good. The holes for the eyes were really fucking hard to make 'cause the papier maché turned out really hard ('cause we didn't have any newpaper at home, so I had to use copy paper, which is thicker) and I didn't have anything particularly good to make the holes with. So I ended up stabbing the holes into with some... thingie... you use to remove failed stitches from fabrics (shit, I dunno what they're called...)

The jacket and jeans are made form a pair of old jeans and were REALLY FUCKING HARD TO SOW TOGETHER. Why? Have you ever tried sowing through jeans? Well, how about sowing through some 2-4 layers at the same time? Fastening to collar to the jacket, I had to get a common needle through 8 fucking layers of jeans. The pocket on the jacket is an actual pocket (though tiny) and you CAN put things in it, though naturally the things put into it would have to be tiny. The jeans open in the back with some I have no idea what it's called button.

The t-shirt is sown from the remanants of an old bed sheet and opens in the back with the same kind of buttons as in the jeans (though four of them)

The godawful shoes (I didn't even take a pic of them because they are fucking horrible. If Satan made shoes, they'd look like that. Ungodly abominations!!!! Pretty fitting then, I guess...) are sown from marine blue fleece and the black parts of a Halloween-themed fabric. The Halloween (not the movie) fabric was used to make soles for the shoes. The soles were made by two pieces of fabric and a piece of copy paper (the shoes are the main reason Jason can, unlike the other dolls, actually stand up straight without tipping over). The shoes are also removable, but it really wouldn't be a good idea to take them off 'cause they are awful to get on.

Why did I chose to make clothes like that? Mostly a matter of taste. I had to make something I could work with and actually sow that would look GOOD. It's better than doing his "Old Mc'Jason had a farm"-outfit from the first movie...

I will, probably, arm him with his trademark machete in the future. PROBABLY.

Ok, I'm gonna stop ranting now. Go watch Friday the 13th in all it's 12 installments (including Jason X, which is pretty much the worst of all of them, Freddy vs Jason and the 2009 version - which, on a side note is really good)

----

Jason is the biggest of the dolls and stands some 22 ½ cm tall. Unlike all the other dolls, his body is felted as one piece, though he's felted softer, so he is still pretty bendable. You can move his head and arms to an extent, but the jeans keep the legs in place (as I said, it's fabric from a pair of actual jeans, so it's pretty stiff and hard to work with).

This took a LOT of fucking work, I mean, just the jacket took some 4-5 hours to sow.

EVERYTHING is handmade. I don't "do" sowing machines. All the clothes are handmade - and everything is hemmed to prevent it from tearing, again completely by hand.

All questions are welcome :D

Absurd is what I am, absurd is what I´ll be. No matter where you look , there´s none as absurd as me. :3

Was so worth it, just to make it look good.

I'll probably end up sowing clothes for my other dolls form now on, 'cause it does look better in the end ;P

And yes. Yes, I do love Jason. He kills people, hence, he's awesome.
